2008 — ISLAMIC ARTS FESTIVAL
For the festival held at Bait Al-serkal and under the patronage of the Government of Sharjah – Department of Culture and information, Directorate of Art, Nadine expanded on Bil Arabi’s by now well etched cultural voice. Through a new collection ‘Bling Bling’, not only did Nadine capture the generation’s fascination with shiny, statement making pieces, but in borrowing from poetry, calligraphic arts and incorporating culturally resonating elements of the Arabic way of life, like ghutras, she captured the essence and aspirations of the modern Arab Identity.
